New Player Evaluations

evaluations

Show us what you got!

Player Evaluations are an integral part of the division heads' and coaches' efforts to achieve competitive balance throughout the league. The more evenly matched the teams, the more competitive the games and, most importantly, the more fun the experience for the kids. The evaluations are not try outs-their only purpose is to assess the skill level of all players to better allocate talent evenly among each of the teams. Every child will be placed on a team whatever their skill level. Please help us in our efforts to achieve competitive balance. Even if your son or daughter has played in the LondonSports Baseball league previously, it is mandatory that they come to one of the Player Evaluation Sessions (but please attend only one as space will be limited).

Who should come

All girls playing in the Junior and Senior Girls Softball league and all boys or girls playing in the Minors,Majors or Senior League.

Note that children playing in T-Ball or Coaches Pitch are not required to attend the Player Evaluation Sessions.

Where and When

Player Evaluations will take place at the American School of London (One Waverley Place, St. Johns Wood).

All competitive divisions will be accommodated on both 7th and 8th March

March 8th:

  • Extra Evaluations except for T-Ball & Coaches Pitch (11:00am - 13:00pm at ASL Gym)

March 9th:

  • Evaluations except for T-Ball & Coaches Pitch (08:30 at ASL Gym)

We strongly encourage you to have your child attend the session corresponding to the league in which he/she will play. This will allow the commissioners to evaluate players on a more consistent basis. If you have a conflict and cannot attend the appropriate session, then your child should attend one of the other sessions and we will fit him / her in as best we can.

Children will be notified of their team assignments prior to opening day.
