Leagues & Ages

LondonSports Basketball offers six different divisions for children aged 7 to 14 (American 2nd to 8th grade). Each division will have a combined practice/game session on either Saturday or Sunday.

2nd Grade Co-Ed Division is for Boys and girls aged 7-8 years. This is an instructional division so there will be no team assignments. The emphasis will be on teaching skills rather than teams and games.

Girls 3rd - 5th Grade Division is for girls aged 8-10 years. They will have less playing time experience. The first part of each session is devoted to skill development while the remaining time is a game. Coaches will take turns refereeing. 

Boys 3rd - 4th Grade Division is for boys aged 8-9 years. They will have less playing time experience, but this is a semi-competitive league. The first part of each session is devoted to skill development while the remaining time is a game. Participants should be committed to playing each week.

Girls 6th - 8th Grade Division is for girls aged 11-13 years. This is a competitive league. Participants should have a reasonable understanding of basketball and be committed to playing each week. Each weekly session will consist of practice time and a game with referees.

Boys 5th - 6th Grade Division is for boys aged 10-11 years. This is a competitive league. Participants should have a reasonable understanding of basketball and be committed to playing each week. Each weekly session will consist of practice time and a game with referees.

Boys 7th - 8th Grade Division is for boys aged 12-13 years. This is a competitive league. Participants should have a reasonable understanding of basketball and be committed to playing each week. Each weekly session will consist of practice time and a game with referees.
