Wormwood Scrubs

For the 2008 season we will play, once again, at Wormwood Scrubs, where the London Baseball Association plays baseball in the spring.

These fields are a very large and open area (dress warmly -- the wind blows!) located off Du Cane Road in Hammersmith. The entrance to the field is via a very small road, almost a driveway, called Artillery Road, which is off Du Cane Road between Hammersmith Hospital and the Wormwood Scrubs prison. Next to the playing fields is the Linford Christie stadium where there are changing facilities if required and the Association's equipment locker.

To get to the fields by car, the easiest access is via the Westway. Exit at Wood Lane (this is the same exit one takes to get to Shepherd's Bush) and proceed north on Wood Lane one hundred yards -- Du Cane road is the first left and Artillery Road is a right hand turn off Du Cane two minutes further along. Du Cane can also be reached by driving south on Scrubs Lane from Willesden.

The fields are also easily accessible by tube. The nearest stop is a East Acton on the Central Line which is a five minute walk away from the fields.

To get to the fields by Bus take either Number 7 or Number 70 bus or anything that goes towards Hammersmith Hospital. www.tfl.gov.uk
