Dear Players, Parents, Coaches & the whole Scrubs Family
On behalf of our Trustees, Commissioners and Sponsors, we welcome you to the 32nd Annual Season of Baseball and Softball at the Scrubs. Although we’ve not had much weather conducive to our sports so far this spring, we’re confident that will change in time for Opening Day on Saturday, April 14th.
Thank you for enrolling your son or daughter in our 2018 program which we hope and plan to be bigger and better than ever. And in the meantime, please help us promote the league and get as many new players as possible by talking to your friends, telling them how great we are and pointing them to our website for more info. In addition, we have a brilliant new set of marketing and promotional materials to use and if any of you have ideas as to more places to post or distribute them please contact Andrew Bunting, our league administrator( details at the bottom of this letter), and he will get you these materials in either hard or soft copy.
You will also be receiving an email from your team coach, introducing you and your kids to their team and giving you some information in advance of Opening Day.
We’ve again had a busy offseason and have a few very important things to mention:
We have also been attempting to grow our social media presence so stay tuned for much more information and action coming to you through those channels. Below is a list of our social media outlets so please visit and LIKE US ON FACEBOOK – we don’t have nearly enough ‘friends’ to be considered really cool.
Lastly, we’d just like to say a big thank you to the many and varied groups of people and organizations that have made this whole thing possible and keep it going strong now for over 30 years. From the army of volunteers during the season, to our sponsors, the council, our delicious food vendors and of course to that herd of amazing kids – it’s truly a labour of love that is bigger than any of us and the beautiful sum of its parts. Thank you for all you do and contribute and please keep it coming!!
So to wrap up with the immortal words of Yogi Berra – ‘Little League baseball is a very good thing because it keeps the parents off the streets.’
See you at the Scrubs
