John Lee-Tin

It is with heavy hearts that we share the news that we have lost a member of our extended LondonSports family as John Lee-Tin passed away last week after a long and valiant battle with cancer.

John had been an invaluable part of LondonSports for the past nine years filing in a wide variety of roles across the leagues, particularly coaching in softball over the past few seasons, with his girls – Jasmine, Jemma & Josie.  And as has happened to so many of us, the program and the Scrubs became an important part of his family’s life over the years as the girls have grown up; and in turn, the girls, his wife Jane, and John all became an important part of the LS community.

We will miss his smile, enthusiasm and joy for life that was so much in evidence over the past couple of years as he fought his own fight the way he knew best – with courage, guts and grace – and was a model for us all.

The family has informed us a funeral service will be held Friday 11th January at 3pm at St Mary's (Cadogan Street, SW3 2QR London - nearest tube is Sloane Square, 5 minutes walk).

Donations can be directed to the Sarah Cannon Research Institute (www. sarahcannon.com/donate) where John was treated.
